Come Back

The Come Back is the first outdoor bench manufactured fully in accordance with the Cradle to Cradle (C2C) sustainability concept, making it well and truly ready for a future in which sustainable production will play an increasingly important role. Even the design of the Come Back looks like something from the future - the bench is futuristic in appearance, yet has a friendly look and feel.

• bench with 2 x 2 seats for use on the ground (weight approx. 175 kg)
• bench with 2 x 2 seats for anchoring into the foundation below ground level (weight approx. 180 kg)

Maintenance
The bench can be easily cleaned using standard cleaners and detergents.

Cradle to Cradle
Developed by William McDonough and Michael Braungart, the C2C sustainability principle is inspired by the ingenious cycles of nature. At the end of their life-cycle, the product materials are separated and re-used with no loss of quality in an endless cycle.

Sustainability Award
The Come Back was created by our designer Eveline Bijleveld during her graduation project at VelopA. In 2008, her project was awarded the Sustainability prize by the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences and the Rotterdam Climate Initiative (RCI).

Your role in the Cradle to Cradle process
As a customer, it is your responsibility to complete the Cradle to Cradle process. Each bench has a unique number, which is registered when you order the Come Back. At the end of the Come Back’s life cycle, you can contact VelopA-Citystyle, who will then collect the bench free of charge and ensure that its raw materials are recycled.
