VelopA 67 years.

VelopA, founded in 1959 in Rotterdam, is celebrating its 67th anniversary this year. Since that time, we have been designing and producing bicycle parking solutions, street furniture and sports and play facilities for public spaces. Fun fact, the name VelopA was invented in Zurch, Switserland by Ubbo Wilhelm Groenendal (from a Dutch-Frisian family). Velo is the word for bicycle in both German-speaking and French-speaking Switzerland, pA stands for parking and parquer. He also came up with the capital letter A at the end of VelopA.

Our ambition has always been to make the world more beautiful. To contribute to the attractiveness of cities and towns, to the quality of life, happiness, and vitality of all of us. Not only have our products undergone enormous development over the past 67 years, but our way of thinking and acting has also completely changed.
