VelopA-Up BMF two-tier bicycle rack with charging points.

The VelopA-Up BMF is a two-tier bicycle rack specifically designed for bikes such as shopper bikes and bikes with child seats. This model makes it also possible to charge your bike. For parking regular bikes, there is the VelopA-Up two-tier bike rack.. The VelopA-Up BMF, along with the VelopA-Up, is our latest generation two-tier bike rack and the most advanced rack in the market. This well-designed rack is also of high quality, extra user-friendly, and noiseless. Parking the bike in a two-tier rack has never been so easy, even on the upper level.

In the development of the VelopA-Up BMF we took into account the latest FietsParKeur standard. Many bicycle parking facilities at train stations in the Netherlands and other European countries are equipped with this rack. The VelopA-Up BMF is also highly suitable for all locations where available space needs to be maximally utilized, for example bike storage at companies and healthcare or educational institutions.

The elements can be linked to create rows of any length.
Sometimes a smaller extension module with, for example, 2 bicycle parking spaces is needed for a specific location. We are happy to advise you on the layout of the available space and how to make the parking area as efficient and user-friendly as possible.

ATTACHMENT OPTIONS
There are securing loops for every bicycle on the VelopA-Up BMF. The securing loops are big enough for cable and chain locks.

OPTIONS
VelopA will be happy to provide:
- an instruction sign. The sign can be hung up in a prominent place near the bicycle parking system.
- bollards for marking or identification numbering for quickly locating bicycles.
- integrated bicycle detection system.

FIETSPARKEUR
The VelopA-Up meets the FietsParKeur standard; the Dutch standard for safe bicycle parking. To encourage and facilitate the growth in the use of bicycles, safe, pleasant and sustainable bicycle parking facilities are essential. Representatives of users, manufacturers and suppliers have joined forces in the FietsParKeur Foundation and are jointly responsible for standardisation, testing and promotion.

REDUCING CO2 EMISSIONS
In developing the VelopA-Up BMF, we took the reduction of CO2 emissions into careful consideration.

IDEAL FOR USERS
Stability and security: Thanks to the smart design of the wheel grips and the anti-roll-off security feature, your bike is very secure and safe. This prevents a blow to the wheel. Also, bikes cannot roll off the racks or bounce out of the gutters.
Low sill height: To park a bike on top, the user hardly even has to lift the front wheel of the bicycle because the sill height is only 28 cm.
Minimal effort: In pushing the bicycle upwards, the user is supported by the VelopA-Up BMF’s system of gas springs. This means that minimal effort is required from the cyclist. The upward operating force for bicycles that weigh around 28 kilos is:
- less than 17 kilos up to a height of 135 cm above the ground
- less than 12 kilos from a height of 135 cm and higher
Damping and fluid motion: The extendible upper part of the rack is pushed back in a fluid, straight motion and slowly comes down thanks to the unique damping system. Users say the whole movement is smooth, fluid and enjoyable.
Ergonomically designed handles: The plastic handle has an ergonomic shape. The handle’s diameter, structure, measurements and design make it very user-friendly for both left and right-handed people.
Drainage system: The clever drainage system ensures that users cannot be surprised by a sudden ‘shower’ when they pull out parts of the rack.

IDEAL FOR SITE MANAGERS
Movability: Anchoring the system into the ground is possible but not essential.
Vandal-proof: All the critical components are covered and not easily accessible. The construction is fitted with vandal-proof security bolts.
Level adjustment: The frames can be adjusted in two directions to compensate for any irregularities in the floor.

Standard installation is onto the ground, on a concrete floor. Other installation options may be possible. Please ask about the possibilities.
